Automation
Planes of Tlessa has three sets of automation to make players’ lives a bit easier in game, and less click, click, click. While yes, Tlessa is not an idle game, we do have some automation, and some clicking is required. However, because of the immense amount of systems and progression that Tlessa offers, some automation has to be accounted for to allow players to get through the game’s various points and work towards end game.
Essentially, focus a little less on constant clicking and a little more on character, gear, class, and quest progression.
With that in mind, we have the following types of automation in game.
It should be noted that most exploration that doesn’t allow you to select a time limit will last for a default of 8 hours. You can, of course, cancel it at any time. While automation is running, depending on the type of automation, you may find yourself locked out of specific game actions because you are technically too busy to do what you want, for example, interacting with the market, managing trainable skills, and so on.
Even some or all forms of movement can be disabled.
Exploration
Exploration is a form of automation, which you can read more about here, that allows the player to automate the tediousness of manual fighting. While some instances of manual fighting are required for progression, such as:
-
Quest items from special locations, where the monsters’ stats are increased
the vast majority of the time, players will use exploration to train their character, gain levels, and even, near the end game, use it for Reincarnation.
Exploration follows the same concept as manual fighting and takes into account bonuses that would otherwise reduce the timer between manual fights to a minimum of 5 seconds, down from the default 10 seconds, allowing players to fight more creatures per minute.
Faction Loyalty Automation
When a user maxes a faction for a plane, they can start working on Faction Loyalty tasks for NPCs on a given map where they have mastered the faction. These tasks usually consist of 6 total tasks: 3 bounties and 3 crafting tasks. Each NPC has 25 levels, so that’s about 75 crafting and 75 bounty tasks in total. A player also has to complete a random number of craft X, Y times, or kill A, B times. Doing this manually can be quite exhausting, even with the Faction Loyalty event that runs weekly and allows players to only have to complete half the required amount to gain a level.
Faction Loyalty Automation, which you can read more about here, allows a player to automate this for a total of 8 hours. It will auto-switch to other NPCs when you have completed all the tasks for that NPC, and it will also traverse, pledge to the faction, and start assisting new NPCs on other maps where you have maxed out that plane’s faction.
It really takes the click, click, click out of something that can gate a lot of quests that lead you through the story and into end game.
Delve
Delve is a new end game concept where players have to complete a series of quests to unlock it. This is where players can test their strength and build to see how long they can survive.
Delve is another form of automation that is similar to exploration; however, the monsters get harder and harder with every successful fight. Players are not supposed to last the full eight hours; they are meant to see how long they can actually make it in this brutal dungeon before they are killed and possibly adjust their gear, and maybe reincarnate more to see if they can truly survive the full 8 hours. The longer you survive, the better the rewards.
You can learn more about Delve by reading this section of the help docs.
